"Shane Staten is a restoration ecologist who has designed and managed more than 3,000 acres of restored forests, prairies, wetlands, and streams. His experience restoring native habitats has convinced him that people’s connection to nature can be a great comfort in times of sadness or stress. He manages Remembrance Forest, a forest restoration project that brings people comfort and connection during hard times through memorial tree plantings and a way to honor life’s special events through celebration tree plantings."

"Each year since 2015, we come together with our partners and the Kansas City community for the MLK, Jr. Nature Walk focused on environmental justice followed by a keynote speaker at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Center.
This event encourages listening, reflection, and honoring the powerful words of Dr. King. Nature serves as a place of peacefulness, awe, and inspiration, making it the perfect setting to resonate with Dr. King’s timeless messages."

♻️ 🎉
Bold Reuse collaborates with local businesses like CPKC to help find workable reuse options for things like cups and packaging. CPKC utilizes Bold Reuse for all of their reusable cups, and Sam showed us all of the other ways the stadium integrates sustainability, including things like solar powered lights and on-site composting! Thanks Jay and Sam!
