Participants in the Arborist Pre-Apprentice program will receive over 320 hours of on the job and classroom training to prepare them for an entry level position in the arboricultural field.
Apprentices will receive credentials and certifications within a number of related fields and hands on experience planting, pruning and caring for young trees. Participants will learn about the broad field of arboriculture and the various types of careers that could be pursued after this certification. Apprentices will also learn fundamental skills for the workplace.
The pre-apprenticeship is a 10-week certification, 32 hours a week (Monday-Thursday) at $16.50/hour.
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must be 18 year of age or older
- Valid Drivers License
- Be willing to work outside in all kinds of weather including high heat, cold and rain
