Education and Career Training Coordinator, Heartland Tree Alliance

Join our team and help grow our tree workforce! The Heartland Tree Alliance (HTA) Education and Career Training Coordinator, along with program managers, develops KC Tree Corps curriculum, a workforce training program focused on forestry, arboriculture, and conservation. This role involves creating curricula, conducting hands-on training, guiding members through career development, and building relationships with partners in the tree and conservation fields. This position will also lead educational programs for the public.

Community Forestry Associate, Heartland Tree Alliance

Join our tree team! The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Heartland Tree Alliance community forestry coordinator with the coordination of volunteer tree planting and maintenance workday activities; building partnerships with neighborhood leaders; and educating the public about the importance of a healthy community forest.

Home Water & Energy Efficiency Community Specialist

Help KCMO residents save energy and water at home! This community specialist will help homeowners and renters reduce their water and energy usage and billing by installing water and energy conserving devices in their residences and educating them about behaviors and practices that can help keep water bills low. This position will also conduct visual inspections of basements and residential plumbing systems to identify homes that may be eligible to participate in a toilet replacement, complex leak repair, and/or rim joist insulation programs.

Fill In Recycling Center Manager

Do you like working outside and helping the community? Bridging The Gap is seeking a fill-in manager for the Kansas City, Missouri Community Recycling Centers. The fill-in manager serves as the lead contact when the primary manager is not available. This position includes managing and training volunteers, and assisting patrons at the centers as they drop off and sort materials for recycling.
