Looking for a fun team-building outdoor experience? Volunteer with our Heartland Tree Alliance program to plant small trees in a riparian area near Shoal Creek (north of the river) in Kansas City, Missouri! Riparian areas are the interface between land and a river or stream. These areas are significant in environmental management because of their role in soil conservation, habitat biodiversity and the influence they have on fauna and aquatic ecosystems.

No prior tree planting experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details, including a map to the meeting location.

Min age: 14. Volunteer alone at 16 yrs.
