Help your community and the environment by volunteering at the Red Bridge Community Recycling Centers! Recycling preserves forests; keeps oil, natural gas, and minerals in the ground; and prevents air and water pollution. Bridging The Gap’s Community Recycling Centers are essential because they accept items not recycled curbside and provide options to the many people who do not have recycling available at home.
This outdoor volunteer opportunity is great for students wanting service-learning credit, retired folks looking to stay active, and passionate recyclers! Volunteers assist the recycling center site manager with various duties, such as breaking down cardboard, assisting patrons, etc.
Saturdays we are able to work with individuals or small groups (max 4 volunteers per shift). Please let me know if you are with a group, as our requirements are different for groups vs individuals.
We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
