Green Event Volunteers: Wanderlust Partnership

Saturday, May 19, 3 shifts

Wanderlust Festival

Berkley Riverfront Park

Kansas City, MO 64120

To be put on a waiting list to volunteer as a Recycling Attendant volunteer, please email John.Fish@bridgingthegap.org. Alternatively, consider volunteering at one of our Community Recycling Centers. We have an urgent need for Saturday volunteers at both locations.

This volunteer opportunity is in partnership with the Wanderlust Festival organizers. Bridging The Gap volunteers will educate attendees about recycling and composting by attending to a waste management station and helping festival-goers place their waste in the correct bin (compostable or recyclable). Our goal is that none of the waste produced at the event goes to the landfill, making it a “zero-waste-to-landfill” event! Volunteers will be provided gloves and litter-grabbers to remove any material that is inadvertently put into the wrong bin. We will train you on-site.  All volunteers must be at least 18 years old and register in advance. Immediately after registering, you will get an auto-email with more info. Prior to the festival, we will email all volunteers more info about parking and meeting location. Questions: Contact John at 816-944-2383 or email john.fish@bridgingthegap.org.
