Make A Difference Day is one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide. Tens of thousands of volunteers across the country unite on the fourth Saturday in October with a common mission: to improve the lives of others through a wide range of community-driven service projects.
For more than two decades, Points of Light has partnered with TEGNA, an innovative media company with 46 television stations in 38 markets. Points of Light is once again thrilled to help TEGNA mobilize volunteers and celebrate the power of people to make a difference.
This year, businesses, nonprofit organizations, families, neighbors and individuals will come together to improve their communities on Saturday, October 28. Volunteers are encouraged to register their service project with Make A Difference Day. By doing so, project organizers are eligible to win a $10,000 grant to donate to a charity of their choice.
