Urgent Volunteer Need: Turkey Creek Stream Cleanup

April 27 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Urgent Volunteer Need

Turkey Creek Litter Cleanup
Saturday, April 27, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Great Opportunity for Groups!

Volunteer to clean up litter with us along Turkey Creek near 75th and Frontage Road in Overland Park! Do you know where litter goes? Litter in streets and parking lots flow into storm drains, which then empty into local creeks and rivers. In other words, if it’s on the ground, it’s in our water! Be part of the solution by volunteering to clean up litter along the creek! There may be opportunities to get into shallow water for folks who bring their waterproof boots. We need 20 volunteers to lend a hand – can you and a friend help?

We will provide litter grabbers, safety vests, trash bags and gloves.

Min age: 11, with supervising adult. 16 and older may volunteer on their own.

All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details.

If you have a group or questions: Contact John at 816-944-2383 or email john.fish@bridgingthegap.org.

We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service.
