Volunteer, Earth Week: Turkey Creek Litter Cleanup, Overland Park

April 28, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Turkey Creek Litter Cleanup, Overland Park

Saturday, April 28, 9:30 AM – Noon

75th Street Trailhead

Overland Park, KS 66204

Earth Day is Sunday, April 22!  Celebrate Earth Week with us by volunteering to keep Turkey Creek clean! Great opportunity for a small group!  Do you know where litter goes? Litter in streets and parking lots flow into storm drains, which then empty into local creeks and rivers. In other words, if it’s on the ground, it’s in our water!

Help us clean up litter near the Turkey Creek 75th Street trailhead in Overland Park, Kansas.  We’ll remove litter near the creek’s bank.  Volunteers who wear water-proof boots will have opportunities to remove litter from shallow water in the creek bed. We will provide all supplies.

Min age: 11, with parent. 16 and older may volunteer alone.

All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details, including a map to the meeting location. NOTE: Address listed is for mapping the general vicinity of the workday. After you sign up, you will receive an auto-email with a special link to the meeting location.
