Urgent Volunteer Need: Troost Lake Park Litter Cleanup
October 27, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Neighborhood Litter Cleanup
Troost Lake Park
2800 Troost Lake Drive
Kansas City, MO 64109
Saturday, October 27, 9:30 AM – Noon
Great Opportunity for a Small Group!
Volunteer with us and help clean up litter near Troost Lake Park in the Blue River Watershed! This is a large collaborative project with several neighborhoods and multiple city departments working together! Do you know where litter goes? Litter on the ground flows into storm drains, which then empty into local creeks and rivers. In other words, if it’s on the ground, it’s in our water! Be part of the solution by volunteering to clean up litter with us! We will provide gloves, litter grabbers, and trash bags.
Bonus: All Bridging The Gap volunteers will receive a reusable branded “Bridging The Gap” shopping bag, and a KIND granola bar, courtesy of Cargill Cares!
The minimum age to volunteer is 16. Online advance registration required; click Register button below. Immediately after registering, volunteers will receive an auto-email with more information. If you have a group or questions: contact John at 816-944-2383 or email john.fish@
This workday is in partnership with KC Parks and Rec Department.
