Volunteer: Spooktacular Tree Planting, UMKC Campus

October 31, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Wednesday, October 31, 9:00 – 11:00 AM
UMKC Campus tree planting
Kansas City, MO 64112

Join us on Halloween morning at our spooktacular tree planting on UMKC’s campus!  The campus recently lost several ash trees – now that is scary! Help us plant small trees to shade the street and sidewalk, provide stormwater retention and pollutant filtration from the air and water. This is a convenient opportunity for UMKC students to learn more about trees and get service-learning credit!

No prior tree planting experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. Min age: 14, with adult supervision. Ages 14 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult, volunteering alongside them. Volunteers less than 18 must have parental co-signature on waiver.

All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details.

Do you have a group or additional questions? Contact Sarah, Heartland Tree Alliance Program Manager, at sarah.crowder@bridgingthegap.org or 816-561-1086.

We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
