Volunteer: Schlagle Library Tree Mulching, WyCo Lake

August 29, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Wednesday, August 29, 9:00 – 11:00 am

Schlagle Library tree mulching

Wyandotte County Lake

Kansas City, KS 66109

Volunteer with our Heartland Tree Alliance program to apply mulch to young trees at the Schlagle Library at Wyandotte County Lake!

Mulch is so important in young tree care not only to protect the bark from string trimmers and lawn mowers, but also to help retain moisture during our dry months. No prior experience is needed to be a mulching volunteer. Bonus: All volunteers will receive a reusable branded “Bridging The Gap” shopping bag and a KIND granola bar, courtesy of Cargill Cares!

Tools will be provided, but please wear gloves, sturdy shoes, long pants and bring a refillable water bottle.

Online advance registration required; click Register button below. Immediately after registering, volunteers will receive an auto-email with more information. If you have a group or questions: Contact Sarah at 816-561-1086 or email sarah.crowder@bridgingthegap.org.

We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service. If you are unable to register online, please contact us for accommodations.
