This workday is in collaboration with Project Blue River Rescue – a large scale conservation event focused on stewardship of the Blue River. KC WildLands volunteers will be working alongside KCMO Parks’ foresters – cutting, treating, and pulling out invasive exotic shrub honeysuckle that infests the glade and woodland behind the Nature Center – opening the woodlands and glade for native plants to  revive and thrive.

As part of Project Blue River Rescue, volunteers will receive a T-shirt and enjoy a hotdog lunch afterwards. All this, while enjoying the beauty of one of Kansas City’s wild places!
