Volunteer: Make A Difference Day!

Join us at our Metro North Community Recycling Center on Make a Difference Day! 

This outdoor volunteer opportunity is a great way to help your community and the environment!  Since this is an ongoing opportunity (Wednesday – Saturday), if October 22 doesn’t work for you, we may have another date available.  This is an outdoor opportunity.

Morning shift: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  Afternoon shift is 1:00 – 5:00 PM.  If these exact times do not work for you, we are flexible. Volunteers assist the recycling center site manager with various duties, such as breaking down cardboard, assisting patrons, etc.   All volunteers must register in advance.    Min age: 8 yrs old, with parent.  Max group size: 6 people, and age restrictions differ for groups.  For more info and to sign up, contact Amy Smith at 816-561-1087 or email.

On October 22nd, volunteers from across the country will unite for Make A Difference Day, one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide. Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others.
