URGENT Volunteer Need: Litter Cleanup near Rockhurst University

October 21, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Urgent Volunteer Need!  (10 volunteers needed)

Saturday, October 21, 1:30 – 4:30 PM
Rockhurst University Area Litter Cleanup
NWC 54th Street and Paseo Boulevard
Kansas City, MO 64110

Help us clean up litter near the Rockhurst University campus, in Kansas City, Missouri! Pollution not only affects property value and feelings of security, but also impacts wildlife health and groundwater quality. Did you know that most litter doesn’t get picked up and sent to the landfill but flows into storm drains when it rains, dumping into area creeks, streams and rivers? Let’s cleanup the litter and showcase the natural urban beauty near this historic, tree-lined boulevard!

We will provide litter grabbers, safety vests, trash bags and gloves. Min age: 18 and older.

Online advance registration required; click Register button below. If you have a group, contact us first to ensure we have space for your entire team to sign up. Immediately after registering, volunteers will receive an auto-email with more information.

If this date doesn’t work for you, and you have a group, we may be able to set up a special date just for your team! Questions: Contact John at 816-944-2383 or email john.fish@bridgingthegap.org.
