Volunteer: Hidden Valley Ecological Restoration (cancelled)

March 2, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Long Johns and Loppers

Hidden Valley Natural Area

Kansas City WildLands Ecological Restoration

Saturday, March 2, 1:00 – 4:00 PM

We’ve cancelled the workday at Hidden Valley Natural Area due to snowpack.  However, the Ernie Miller site is clear, and is still on! Please click here to register to volunteer at the Ernie Miller site, located in Olathe, KS!

Join our Kansas City WildLands team and layer up for our Long Johns and Loppers Ecological Restoration Workday!  Volunteers will cut and stump-treat exotic, invasive shrub honeysuckle and woody invasive plants that threaten the gorgeous, hilly forest of Hidden Valley natural area, opening the forest up for native plants and wildlife to thrive again. What a beautiful way to spend a winter day! Please note this site may have a longish walk (on trail) to get to the work area

All volunteers must register online in advance. Immediately after registering, you will get an auto-email with more info.   Please contact Linda at 816-561-1089, linda@bridgingthegap.org if you have a group so we can ensure there is space for the entire group to participate.

Note: this workday was originally scheduled Saturday, February 23. All volunteers who’ve signed up with us have been contacted.

We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
