April 22, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Earth Day Riparian Small Tree Planting

Prairie Creek Greenway, Platte City

Monday, April 22, 9:00 AM – Noon

Great Opportunity for Corporate Group!

Looking for a fun team-building outdoor experience? Volunteer with our Heartland Tree Alliance program on Earth Day to plant small trees in a riparian area at Prairie Creek Greenway (north of the river) in Platte City, Missouri! Riparian areas are the interface between land and a river or stream. These areas are significant in environmental management because of their role in soil conservation, habitat biodiversity and the influence they have on fauna and aquatic ecosystems.

No prior tree planting experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details, including a map to the meeting location.

If you have a group or questions: contact Sarah Crowder 816- 561-1086 or email sarah.crowder@bridgingthegap.org. Individuals are also welcome to sign up!

We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
