Urgent Volunteer Need: Town Fork Creek litter cleanup
November 4, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Urgent Volunteer Need: 5 Volunteers Needed
Town Fork Creek litter cleanup
Saturday, November 4, 1:30 – 4:30 PM
Great Opportunity for Groups!
Volunteer to clean up litter with us near Town Fork Greenway Park, near 63rd and Paseo Boulevard, in Kansas City, Missouri! Did you know that most litter is not collected and taken to the landfill? Unfortunately, rainfall will carry litter into storm drains in parking lots and on streets. Storm drains dump untreated and unfiltered water directly into area creeks, streams, and rivers. In other words, if it’s on the ground, it’s in our water! That’s why we need your help to clean up litter in Dunn Park along Town Fork Creek south of 63rd Street between The Paseo and Meyer Blvd.
All volunteers will receive a snazzy “volunteer” t-shirt! We will provide litter grabbers, safety vests, trash bags and gloves. Min age: 18 and older.
Online advance registration required; click Register button below. Immediately after registering, volunteers will receive an auto-email with more information. Space is filled on a first come, first served basis. If you have a group, contact us first to ensure we have space for your entire team to sign up.
If this date doesn’t work for you, and you have a group, we may be able to set up a special date just for your team! Questions: Contact John at 816-944-2383 or email john.fish@bridgingthegap.org.
We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service.
