Urgent Volunteer Need: South KCMO Neighborhood Tree Planting

April 27, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Urgent Volunteer Need

Saturday, April 27, 9:00 AM – Noon

Street Tree Planting, Woodbridge Neighborhood

Kansas City, MO 64146

Pop up tree planting, now open to the public! This event was originally reserved for a group that can no longer volunteer. We need 30 total volunteers. Can you and your friends and family lend a hand and help us reforest south KCMO?

Volunteer to plant street trees in the Woodbridge neighborhood near Holmes and Red Bridge Road in south Kansas City, Missouri! These trees will shade the street and sidewalk, provide stormwater retention and pollutant filtration from the air and water. They will also provide numerous benefits to the community, including: increasing property values, reducing crime rates and even slowing traffic.

No prior tree planting experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. Min age: 14, with adult supervision. Ages 14 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult, volunteering alongside them. Volunteers less than 18 must have parental co-signature on waiver.

All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click on registration button below for more details and to register. Immediately after registering, each individual will receive an auto-email confirmation with more details.

Do you have a group or additional questions? Contact Sarah, Heartland Tree Alliance Program Manager, at sarah.crowder@bridgingthegap.org or 816-561-1086.

We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
