Where can I donate?
You can donate money to the KC March for Science Chapter at https://www.gofundme.com/sciencemarchKC.
Or buy a shirt here:
https://www.bonfire.com/march-for-science-kansas-city/
(Locally-made shirts to come.)
Why do you need donations?
With support from the National D.C. March for Science organizers and other various Kansas City local organizations (Indivisible, Women’s March) and have assessed the following necessary purchases in order to put on a family friendly, safe and enjoyable event.
We need money to purchase the necessary health and safety equipment (port-o-potties, EMTs, police), city permits, etc.
What will you do with money left over after the organization of the March is done?
All of the leftover donations will go directly back into Kansas City! We intend to divide the remaining funds and donate to local science supporting organizations (TBD).
Can I bring my child?
Of course! This will be a safe environment for children, and we hope they learn something too! Children’s activities are planned.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you may bring your furry science supporters but they are required to be on leash and you must clean up after any messes your pet makes.
Why I March:
Make a sign with the words Why I March and tell us why you’re going to be marching for science! It can be a picture, video, or poem, basically anything you can think of and tweet it at @marchforscienceKC or email it to kcsciencemarch@gmail.com. We will choose the 25 submissions and invite you onto the stage on April 22 and ask you to share your opinion/story. This march is about making our voices heard and we mean to do so!
