Great Opportunity for a Corporate Group!
Volunteer with Bridging The Gap to prep ground for a pollinator garden at an elementary school in the Shawnee Mission School District!
Prep work includes: removing turf, laying cardboard, installing edging, and applying mulch. We’ll also be digging holes and planting trees. The kids will install the garden later alongside their teachers. No experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. Only one person per registration form, please. Min age: 16.
Volunteers must register in advance by clicking the ‘register’ button, below. Immediately after registering, you will receive an auto-email with more important information, including where to meet and day-of contact information.
To comply with the Shawnee Mission School District’s policy, all volunteers must bring a photo ID and pass a quick background check* performed by a school staff person the day-of the workday.
If you have a group and would like to set a date with us, contact Amanda, Pollinator Program Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.
*Sexual or violent convictions will not be permitted. Your information will be kept confidential by the school, and the school secretary will inform you directly of your status. Results of the background check will not be shared with Bridging The Gap staff.
