Volunteer: Last Chance at Metro North Recycling Center!

October 6, 2018 @ 9:30 am - October 13, 2018 @ 5:00 pm

Metro North Recycling Center

Limited Opportunity – Site Closing October 13th!

Saturdays, October 6 and 13

Two Shifts to Choose From

Are you passionate about recycling? Help your community and the environment by volunteering at our Metro North Community Recycling Center!  Recycling preserves forests; keeps oil, natural gas, and minerals in the ground; and prevents air and water pollution. Bridging The Gap’s Community Recycling Centers are essential because they accept items not recycled curbside and provide options to the many people who do not have recycling available at home.

This outdoor volunteer opportunity is great for students looking to earn service-learning credit! Volunteers assist the recycling center site manager with various duties, such as breaking down cardboard, assisting patrons, etc. Two shifts: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm or 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Bonus: All volunteers will receive a reusable branded “Bridging The Gap” shopping bag and a KIND granola bar, courtesy of Cargill Cares!

Note, clicking the “register for event” button below will open a blank email to Amy – online registration is not available for this opportunity. To sign up, please email or call Amy.
