Event & Volunteer: Annual Red Cedar Tree Event

December 1, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Kansas City WildLands

18th Annual Red Cedar Christmas Tree Event

Saturday, December 1, 2018

Mildale Farm, Edgerton KS 66021

Join Kansas City WildLands at the annual red cedar tree event! This is a fun and festive volunteer opportunity! There will be several jobs/shifts available, from moving trees to helping patrons tie them on to cars to helping dole out hot cider and cookies. Volunteers always make this a wonderful event for the hundreds of families who come out to cut a native Christmas tree while helping restore a prairie… come be part of it!

Exact shifts and times will be set by mid-November. The event is open to the public between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Generally, volunteer shifts will be 3 hours, between the timeframe of 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.  Min age: 13, with adult.  All volunteers must register in advance by contacting Linda Lehrbaum at 816-561-1089, or email linda@bridgingthegap.org.

This workday is in partnership with Johnson County Parks and Rec Dept.   Mildale Farm is located at 35250 W 199th St, Edgerton, KS 66021.  For more event information, click here.
