Event: E-Waste L&L for Businesses

March 10, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Erasing E-Waste: Eliminating Environmental Harm and Benefiting the Community

How eWaste fits your corporate sustainability & social responsibility goals.

Corporate sustainability is a hot topic. Organizations taking on sustainability issues can find improvements in the bottom line, employee health, operational efficiency and safety, all while having a positive effect on the environment. Recycling electronics has the added benefit of addressing risk and liability while having the ability to quickly affect the quality of life for disadvantaged members of our community.

In this lunch & learn, hear from Bob Akers, new Enterprise Director with the Basel Action Network, about the current global electronic waste crisis. Learn how the Basil Action Network (BAN) and e Stewards are working to not only protect the environment but attack problems like digital inclusion, education, job creation and training. A brief on the Kansas City Plan will be given along with an overview of BAN and e-Stewards history.
