Celebrate National Public Lands Day!

Kansas City WildLands
Restoration Workday for National Public Lands Day
Sept. 28, 2019 – 9:00 AM to noon
Due to the rain we are expecting, this event planned for tomorrow, Saturday, October 5 has been CANCELLED. Please keep a look out for future workdays!
POSTPONED TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5

Let’s do this for our Public Lands! This is a great workday for groups! We’ll focus on removing invasive exotic honeysuckle and other invasive woody plants that threaten the health of two original prairies and woodlands, while enjoying the early fall beauty of Kansas City’s remnant wild lands. Volunteers will cut and treat invasive woody plants from these beautiful, natural habitats, helping native flowers and grasses flourish again in this stunning wild area.

And BONUS! Awesome REI will supply their famous t-shirts, plus great prizes for a post-workday drawing! You don’t want to miss this!
Two sites to choose from – please sign up in advance so we make sure to have enough supplies for everyone:
