1. Programs Director

  • 1.0 FTE – Salary range is $57,000 to $68,000

  • Job Purpose: The Programs Director oversees the coordination, administration, supervision and evaluation of all aspects of Bridging The Gap’s ongoing programs including planning, organizing and staffing program activities. As a member of the senior management team, the Programs Director participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving. The Programs Director works within the guidelines, policies and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for all programming.

2. Heartland Tree Alliance Program Assistant

  • 1.0 FTE – Salary range is $24,000 – $37,000

  • Job Purpose: The Program Assistant will plant and water trees on public property adjacent to the street throughout Kansas City, Missouri and Johnson County, Kansas. Duties include conversing with adjacent property owners; coordinating utility locates for the planting locations; loading the vehicle daily with trees and tools; physically planting the trees – up to 20 1-inch caliper trees per week during the planting season; using Google and GIS mapping systems for reporting purposes; engaging and training volunteers via volunteer workdays; and conducting minor maintenance such as staking and mulching trees.

3. Heartland Tree Alliance Neighborhood Tree Planting Specialist – Seasonal Position 

  • 40 hours/week – SEASONAL from mid-October through mid-November – $12.00/hour

  • Job Purpose: The Tree Planting Specialist will plant trees on public property adjacent to the street throughout Kansas City Missouri. Working with the HTA Program Associate, the HTA Program Assistant will help to notify adjacent property owners, load the vehicle daily with trees and tools, and plant trees. The HTA Program Assistant may also routinely water the trees and do minor maintenance such as staking and mulching.
