Community Forestry Coordinator: Special Projects

Our Heartland Tree Alliance program is growing! We’re adding two new community forestry coordinators, each with a different focus. If you like to work with communities, spend time outdoors, and coordinate project efforts to increase our Kansas City region’s urban tree canopy, we’d love to talk with you! The Special Projects position will coordinate tree planting initiatives that require working with contractors for site preparation. Examples are infrastructure improvements like widening or creating tree wells in the sidewalk or tree and stump removal.

Community Forestry Coordinator: Private Tree Planting and Education Initiatives

Recycling Center Manager

If you are an individual who enjoys working independently outdoors year-round and interacting with the public, then this position might be for you! The Recycling Center Manager oversees the daily operation of one of three KCMO community drop-off recycling centers managed by Bridging The Gap while providing education and resources to users about how and what to recycle. The centers are open Wednesday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fill In Recycling Center Manager

Do you like working outside and helping the community? Bridging The Gap is seeking a fill-in manager for the Kansas City, Missouri Community Recycling Centers. The fill-in manager serves as the lead contact when the primary manager is not available. This position includes managing and training volunteers, and assisting patrons at the centers as they drop off and sort materials for recycling.
